Kindness Champions 2024
This morning at Leavenworth Intermediate School two students were recognized in front of all of their peers during morning assembly for being Kindness Champions.
5th Grade's Kindness Champion is Journi Ross. Journi's teachers said that, "Journi is a very caring student who is observant to other's needs. She is willing to help out when she can, and is polite when she talks to her peers and adults." 
6th Grade's Kindness Champion is Sebastian Delgado-Figueroa. Sebastian's teachers said that, "Sebastian is always willing to help his teachers and peers in need. He is extremely helpful with our ESL students."
School counselor, Ms. McKim said, "Both of these students exemplify kindness, compassion, inclusivity, and keep a positive attitude each day. They are helpful, patient, and go out of their way to ensure that others have what they need."
These kindness champions not only received a custom 2024 Sporting KC jersey and scarf, but will also be invited to a Sporting Kansas City home match for special recognition at Children’s Mercy Park!
