Medical Insurance - The district pays a fringe amount of $500. Health insurance is offered to all employees who work a minimum of 30 hours per week with the fringe amount prorated according to hours worked. Currently the district has three plans that are offered through Aetna.

Dental Insurance - The dental plan offered by Delta Dental is 100% employee paid. Enrollees may use a dentist of their choice or a Delta provider for a higher level of benefits.

Flexible Spending Accounts - This benefit is offered through Discover Benefits. Health Care Reimbursement Account: Employees may payroll deduct up to $2,550 per year on a pretax basis to pay for out-of-pocket health care expenses. Dependent Care Reimbursement Account: Employees may payroll deduct up to $5,000 per year on a pretax basis to reimburse dependent care expenses.

Kansas Public Employees Retirement System - All employees who work the equivalent of 4 hours per day are members of the Kansas Public Retirement System (KPERS). Employee Assistance Program - The Employee Assistance Program is specifically designed to assist you in obtaining the right professional help for your problem. When you contact the program, an EAP counselor will assess your problem and advise you of the available alternatives. Referrals to outside agencies are carefully screened to ensure quality care. Follow-up is conducted on an ongoing basis to determine whether further assistance is needed. Our goal is to promote employee well being. This program is voluntary, although your supervisor may recommend your participation. The EAP staff provides professional and confidential assistance to all clients.
