Special Education

The Leavenworth Public Schools are committed to providing a quality continuum of special education services. The Leavenworth School District believes all students can learn and works in partnership with families in order to provide an individualized educational program for any student who is determined eligible. The Leavenworth School District employs 55 professionals and paraprofessionals who serve nearly 750 students with special needs ages 3-21. Services provided to students may include services for developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbances, physical and health impairments, visual and hearing impairments, autism, speech and language impairments, and gifted.
