Commitment to Safe Schools

Logo of Pioneer Pete circa 2022

.At Leavenworth USD 453, keeping our students and staff safe is a top priority. We work hard to create a secure learning environment by using smart safety tools, strong procedures, and close partnerships with local emergency responders. From controlling who can enter our buildings to using emergency alert systems, we take steps every day to make sure our schools are safe places to learn and work.

Crisis Alert System

Leavenworth Schools has added another layer of physical security by equipping all staff members with the ability to call for help at the push of a button. The CrisisAlert™ system empowers staff members to quickly initiate a call for help using a specialized badge. Whether it's a medical issue, a student emergency, or a more serious crisis, pressing the button immediately alerts building officials and provides the exact location of the alert. In the case of a major emergency, the system can also trigger a campus-wide lockdown. This technology ensures a fast and accurate response to keep everyone safe.

More information about CrisisAlert™ is available online.
