The district strives to make each of our schools a welcoming place for military families, and aims to ease the tension students may experience while transitioning to a new school.

Fort Leavenworth Resources
Various support services are available for military families preparing to enter the Leavenworth community.
Transportation Enrollment - Fort Leavenworth provides transportation to and from Leavenworth High School for students in grades 10-12 at no cost. Students attending 9th grade at Leavenworth High School are provided transportation for a fee.

Kansas was the first state to adopt the Interstate Compact into statute on April 9, 2008. The Compact focuses on easing educational transitions frequently encountered by students of military families. Issues covered under The Compact are:

- Allowing a student to receive a diploma from the sending school instead of the receiving school
