Support Group |
|
We meet the second and fourth Tuesday of the month
at 1900
The purpose of the
Leavenworth High School (LHS) Army JROTC (AJROTC) Support Group is to provide
support for and further the goals of the LHS AJROTC program. The Support Group
helps to bring the cadets, their parents, and other supporters of the program
and the community together in a mutually beneficial manner.
The Support Group is all about the cadets and what we
can do collectively to better enable them to be successful in school, our
community, and life. We assist the battalion and cadets by volunteer efforts,
fundraising, and general support to make the AJROTC at LHS a better experience
for all. Established approximately two years, the Support Group has supported
the battalion, in cooperation with the cadets, with (just to name a few):
-
With
support of Marlow White, construction of a multi-station obstacle course
-
With
support from Geiger Construction, a dedicated drill pad for cadets to train on (vice
the parking lot)
-
Fundraising
for critical equipment and uniform items, from flag holders and uniform items
for Drill teams, to boxes and high adventure equipment for Raiders.
-
Cooking,
set up, and support of the AJROTC Organizational Day for all cadets
-
And
more is happening everyday
The Support Group meets twice a month at 7PM on
Tuesdays in the JROTC classroom of LHS. The Elected Offices of the Support
Group are the following:
