Leadership Camp 

As part of the JROTC course, cadets are required to commit to memory certain pieces of information about the United States and military protocol. The information on this page is some of the material that is learned as part of the JROTC curriculum. It is also material that cadets appearing before the Cadet of the Month board are tested over.

The Cadet Creed: the Cadet Creed is recited by every company at the beginning of class. It outlines the behaviors a JROTC cadet should exhibit.

I am an Army Junior ROTC Cadet.
I will always conduct myself to bring credit to my family, country, school, and the corps of cadets.
I am loyal and patriotic.
I am the future of the United States of America.
I do not lie, cheat, or steal and will always be accountable for my actions and deeds.
I will always practice good citizenship and patriotism.
I will seek the mantle of leadership and stand prepared to uphold the Constitution and the American way of life.
May God grant me strength to always live by this creed.

The Eleven Principles of Leadership: These are practices that our program attempts to instill in every student leader. They are what we believe to be the foundation of professional leadership.

1.     Know yourself and seek self-improvement.

2.     Be technically and tactically proficient.

3.     Seek responsibility and take responsibility for your actions.

4.     Make sound and timely decisions.

5.     Set the example.

6.     Know your team members and look out for their welfare.

7.     Keep your subordinates well-informed.

8.     Develop a sense of responsibility in your subordinates.

9.     Insure that a task is understood, supervised, and accomplished.

10. Train your subordinates as a team.

11. Employ your group in accordance with its capabilities.
