Electronic Devices: Any confiscated electronic devices that have NOT been picked up by a parent will be donated to Goodwill on Thursday March 11th, 2010.

American Legion Boys State of Kansas Leadership Academy:
Applications are now available for junior boys interested in attending Boys State in Manhattan, Kansas June 6-12, 2010. Boys must be involved in extra-curricular activities in school and the community, and be in the top half of your class academically. Applications are in Guidance and due to Ms. Klima no later than March 31, 2010.

Cadet Law Enforcement Academy:
The Kansas Highway Patrol and The Kansas American Legion are sponsoring the Cadet Law Academy for students with a C+ average interested in Law Enforcement. The student selected will receive training at NO cost to them for the academy which is held in June. Deadline for the application which is in Guidance is March 26th. Please return completed applications to Ms. Klima in Guidance by this deadline.

Kansas Future Teacher Academy:

Sponsored by Emporia State University this summer camp will be held at Emporia State University on June 13-18 for any current sophomore or junior interested in becoming a teacher. There is a $50 participation fee. Applications are due March 19, 2010 and may be downloaded at www.emporia.edu/jones/kfta/application.pdf. Information available in Guidance.

International Club:
We will be meeting on the following dates:

ACT:
Junior Students: If you are planning to go to college, it is important to take your ACT and/or SAT prior to the start of your senior year. Only two test dates remain for the ACT. The deadline for the April 10th exam is March 5th. The deadline for the May 1st SAT is March 25th. See your counselor for details.

Pennies for Patients
P.O.C. is raising money for Pennies for Patients. This is a service project for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to use toward Cancer research, professional education, and public health. Bring your pennies or whatever you desire to donate for the next 3 weeks.  Notify Mrs. Fairley in Guidance if you have donations. The seminar that raises the most money will be awarded a pizza party.
