Application Process

Regular Education Applicants: Please click here to apply on-line.

Special Education Applicants: Please click here to apply on-line.

Applications Information: Apply online (click link above) or print an application below. Applications are kept on file for one (1) year. During that time, if a position becomes available that you are interested in, please submit a letter of interest, specifying that you already have an application on file. Please include the position you are interested in.

Background Checks: A criminal background check is required as part of the employment process (see below for more information).

Kansas License: A license issued by the Kansas State Department of Education is required. To qualify for a license, transcripts must indicate a bachelor’s degree, including the required number of semester hours in education. For questions regarding a license, you may contact the Kansas State Department of Education, 120 East 10th, Topeka, KS 66612, or visit www.ksde.org. If you already have a Kansas license, please forward a copy of the license when you submit an application.

Transcripts and Credentials: Please send a copy of all college transcripts and credentials when application is returned.


Note to Internal Candidates

Current Leavenworth U.S.D. #453 employees should not follow the above application process. Please submit a Letter of Transfer Request to the Human Resource Department located at the Leavenworth Board of Education. Please specify the position you are interested in, along with the building assignment, and date of possible transfer.
