Dear Parents and Students of Anthony Elementary School:

I am so excited to begin our upcoming 2010-2011 school year! I hope all of you had a wonderful summer break and are well rested. I have been very busy getting things ready for September and ensuring a successful start in our beautiful new building! We are so happy to provide the students and staff with a beautiful facility to learn and teach in! There is such robust excitement as we enter the school year with so many wonderful changes that we are confident will enhance our student’s overall success! It is indeed an exciting time at Anthony Elementary!

I want to remind our community of the change in our school hours. School will run from 8:30 a.m. until 3:45 p.m. this school year. The doors will open for students at 8:00 am and breakfast will begin at 0800am. We have many events scheduled for the first month of school. Please refer to the calendar on the website for these events as well as I have included them in the body of this letter. We look forward to seeing you during these events!!!

Our teachers are very excited to meet their new students on September 7th! At Anthony, we encourage parents to be actively involved in their child’s education. We offer many opportunities for parental involvement through volunteering and our Parent Involvement in Education (PIE) group. We ask our families to plan on attending events in the school this year. With your support, our events can be a great success!
