We Listened To You

Much information has been gathered in recent years regarding the needs of Leavenworth school facilities.  Several plans have been created and put forth to the community.  As the District moved into the current facilities upgrade process, it was important to listen to and incorporate the comments and desires of the community.  In March, the District hired a firm to survey a statistically relevant population to gain insight into the community's wishes for its schools.  The survey was enlightening and the Facilities Planning Committee, and later the Board of Education, responded to those wishes.  The survey said:

*address the most pressing facility, safety, and technology needs

*keep the cost low, be sensible -approximately $60 M

*the plan is an opportunity to take a stand for quality in our schools and community
