2008 Bond Issue Question on Ballot

Following is the question and how it will read on the ballot on November 4:

UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 453,

LEAVENWORTH COUNTY, KANSAS

NOVEMBER 4, 2008



To vote in favor of the Question submitted upon this ballot, darken the oval to the left of the word “Yes”; to vote against it, darken the oval to the left of the word “No”.



Shall the following be adopted?



“Shall Unified School District No. 453, Leavenworth County, Kansas, (the “District”) issue, sell and deliver its General Obligation Bonds in an estimated amount not to exceed Fifty Seven Million Eight Hundred Thousand and 00/100 Dollars, ($57,800,000.00), to: (i) improve, renovate and equip the high school attendance facility, which includes additions, and, safety and technology improvements, and otherwise improve the high school attendance site by constructing and installing an athletic stadium and related improvements; and (ii) improve, renovate and equip the Anthony Elementary and Brewer Elementary attendance facilities, which includes additions, and, safety and technology improvements to said facilities, and, construct a new elementary attendance facility, and otherwise improve and furnish said elementary facilities and sites, all together with all other things necessary and incidental thereto, (collectively the “Project”) at an estimated cost of $57,800,000 (the “Project Costs”), all of which estimated Project Costs will be paid for from the proceeds derived from the District’s sale, issuance and delivery of its general obligation bonds, all under the authority of KSA §§72-6761, 75-2315 et seq., and Article 1 of Chapter 10, of the Kansas Statutes Annotated, all as amended and supplemented?”
