Warren Middle School 7th Grader Wins County Spelling Bee

Congratulations to Warren Middle School 7th grader, Zaniya Murray, who was crowned the top speller in the county at the Leavenworth County Spelling Bee on Friday, February 5. Zaniya beat out more than 40 other students by spelling the word "believable" correctly in the final round. She will advance to the Sunflower Spelling Bee to be held March 5 in Hays.

LHS Basketball Teams Get Pep Talk from Fort Leavenworth General

Leavenworth High School’s boys and girls basketball teams had the honor of a pre-game visit from Lieutenant General Robert B. Brown, Commanding General of the U.S. Army Combined Center at Fort Leavenworth. LTG Brown was also invited to sit on the bench as an honorary coach during the Lady Pioneers girls varsity game on Friday, February 5, vs. Olathe South.

District Names New School Administrators for 16-17 School Year

During a Special Board Meeting on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, the Leavenworth Board of Education approved Mr. Scott Kedrowski, to serve as principal of Richard Warren Middle School, and Mrs. Anne-Marie Short, to serve as assistant principal at Henry Leavenworth Elementary, for the 2016-17 school year.

Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences

Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held for all schools on Thursday, February 11, 2016, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. and 4:30-9:30 p.m. There will be no school for students February 10-12 or 15, 2016.

Pioneer Boost Cancelled - January 19, 2016

Due to forecasts calling for inclement weather this afternoon into the evening, the Pioneer Boost after-school program at all four elementary schools has been CANCELLED for Tuesday, January 19. At this time, all other district activities and events will held as scheduled.
